Angel Gil-Ordoñez is a co-founder (with music historian Joseph Horowitz) and musical director of the PostClassical Ensemble. He is a student of Sergiu Celibidache. Born in Spain, he served as Associate Conductor at the National Symphony Orchestra of Spain and has performed in concert halls throughout Europe, the United States and Latin America. In 2006, the King of Spain awarded Gil-Ordóñez the country's highest civilian decoration, the Royal Order of Queen Isabella.
